FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Science of Staying in the Game.
You have questions. That's smart—you're about to invest in your body, and you should know exactly what you're getting. Here's everything you need to know before you start.
-
Frontline Performance is designed for active adults who want to move better, build strength, reduce injury risk, and continue enjoying the activities they love. Whether you're an avid golfer, tennis player, pickleball player, returning from physical therapy, or simply want to stay active, our programs are built around your goals.
-
We don't just count repetitions or put you through random workouts. Every program begins with a comprehensive movement and performance assessment to identify mobility restrictions, muscle imbalances, strength deficits, and movement patterns that may limit performance or increase injury risk. Training is then built specifically for you using evidence-based principles.
-
Not unless you think staying active has an age limit.
Frontline Performance is built for people who want to move well, build strength, reduce injury risk, and keep doing what they love—whether that's golf, tennis, pickleball, hiking, or simply living an active life.
We coach based on your goals and abilities, not the number on your birthday. Some of our clients are looking to improve performance, while others simply want to feel stronger and more confident in everyday life. Either way, our mission is the same: to help you stay healthy, keep active, and play longer.
-
Not at all.
Every program is customized to your current abilities, experience, and goals. Whether you're beginning your fitness journey, returning after time away, or looking to improve athletic performance, we'll meet you where you are and help you progress safely.
-
A Performance Pathway is a structured, one-on-one training program built around your specific goals—whether that's returning to your sport after physical therapy, building strength and resilience to help prevent future injuries, or simply moving better for the long haul.
Every Pathway is grounded in NASM's evidence-based methodology, incorporating corrective exercise, functional movement assessment, and progressive strength training to help you move with confidence and perform at your best.
-
Absolutely.
Improving performance isn't just about getting stronger—it's about moving more efficiently. We combine strength training, mobility, balance, stability, power, and corrective exercise to help you perform at your best while reducing injury risk.
-
Absolutely.
While we specialize in helping golfers, tennis players, and pickleball players improve performance and reduce injury risk, the principles we use apply to nearly every sport.
Whether you enjoy hiking, cycling, running, swimming, recreational leagues, or simply want to stay active, we'll build a program around the movements, demands, and goals that matter most to you. Our focus is helping you move better, build strength, improve resilience, and continue doing what you love.
-
Most sessions are conducted in your home or another agreed-upon location, allowing you to train in a comfortable and convenient environment.
-
Most training sessions last approximately one hour, although session length may vary depending on your goals, program, and individual needs.
-
Your first appointment includes a comprehensive assessment of movement quality, mobility, balance, strength, posture, and your personal goals. This information allows us to build a personalized performance plan designed specifically for you.
-
Absolutely.
Prevention is the whole point. The clients who get the most out of this work are often the ones who train before something breaks down—not after.
Our goal is to help you stay healthy, keep active, and continue doing what you love.
-
Yes—but only after approval from your physical therapist or healthcare provider.
Once you've been cleared, our Post-Physical Therapy Performance Pathway helps bridge the gap between rehabilitation and confidently returning to the activities you enjoy. Our focus is on rebuilding strength, improving movement quality, and reducing the risk of future injuries—not replacing physical therapy or providing medical treatment.
-
Being cleared by your physical therapist means you're safe to resume activity—it doesn't necessarily mean you're ready to perform at your previous level.
There's often a gap between being medically cleared and being physically prepared for the demands of sports and an active lifestyle. That's where many setbacks and re-injuries occur.
Our Post-Physical Therapy Performance Pathway is designed to help close that gap by rebuilding strength, improving movement quality, and preparing you to return with confidence.

Yes, when appropriate and with your permission.
Communication with your healthcare team can help ensure your training complements your medical care and supports your long-term goals. We believe the best outcomes come from working as part of your broader wellness team whenever collaboration is beneficial.
-
Most clients see the best results by training two or three times per week, depending on their goals, schedule, and recovery needs. We'll recommend the frequency that's appropriate for you after your assessment.

Very little.
We can design highly effective programs using minimal equipment and can also incorporate any equipment you already own.
-
Not necessarily.
Our goal isn't to leave you exhausted—it's to help you become stronger, move more efficiently, and recover well enough to continue enjoying your everyday activities and sports. Training is progressive, purposeful, and appropriate for your current fitness level.
